Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 4, 2026
The mobile apps developed by Mehmet Nasır AKBAŞ (the "Apps") are built with user privacy as a core principle. This policy explains what data is processed, where it stays, who it is shared with, and what your rights are. Our Apps do not require an account and do not send personal data to our own servers.
1. Scope and Data Controller
This policy applies to all of the following apps. Every newly published app is added to this list automatically:
- Pianond: Piano Keyboard Games — Android, iOS
The data controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) is Mehmet Nasır AKBAŞ. Contact details are in Section 15.
2. At a Glance
- There is no account, sign-up or login; we never ask for your name, email address or phone number.
- Your audio recordings, imported files, settings and game progress are stored only on your device.
- Our Apps contain no analytics or crash-reporting tools.
- Ads are served by Google AdMob. In regions that require consent (e.g. the EU and UK) and on iOS, ads are personalized only if you allow it. Elsewhere, you can turn personalization off in your device settings.
- We do not sell your personal data.
3. Data That Stays on Your Device
The following data is kept only on your device, in the app's own storage, so that the app can work. It is never sent to us or to any other server. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.
3.1 Microphone and Audio Recordings
When you use the recording feature, the app asks for microphone permission. The microphone is used only after you start a recording and only while it is running; there is no background listening. Recordings are stored on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. On iOS, you can also access your recordings from the Files app.
If you choose to share a recording, you send the file yourself to the app you pick in your device's share sheet, and that app's privacy policy applies. You can revoke microphone permission at any time in your device settings; all features other than recording keep working.
3.2 Audio Files You Import
Audio files you pick for the music player (MP3, WAV, AAC, M4A, FLAC) are copied into the app's storage on your device. The app accesses only the files you select; it does not scan your gallery or your other files. These files are never uploaded to any server.
3.3 Settings and Game Progress
Your sound, haptics, metronome and instrument preferences, game scores, earned diamonds, favorite melodies, ad-consent choice and counters for when the rating prompt was last shown are stored on your device. This information is not used to identify you.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
Our Apps are free and supported by ads (banner, interstitial and rewarded) served through Google AdMob. Ad-related data is sent directly from your device to Google and is processed under Google's own privacy policy.
- Google Privacy Policy — policies.google.com/privacy
- How Google uses data from partner apps — policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
4.1 Data AdMob May Collect
- Advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, only with your permission; Advertising ID on Android)
- IP address and the approximate location derived from it (city/country level). Precise GPS location is not collected.
- Technical information such as device model, operating system, language and app version
- Ad interactions (impressions, clicks) and error and performance data from the ads SDK
This data is used to show ads, measure ad performance, limit how often the same ad is shown, prevent fraud and, if you have consented, personalize ads based on your interests.
4.2 Ad Consent (EU, UK, Switzerland and certain US states)
Where legally required, a consent form is shown through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before any ads load. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from "Privacy Settings" in the app menu. If you do not consent, only non-personalized or limited ads are shown.
4.3 iOS: App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
On iOS, the app asks for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before accessing your advertising identifier (IDFA). If you decline, the IDFA is not shared and ads continue to be shown without personalization. You can change this at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
4.4 Opting Out of Personalized Ads
- iOS: Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking — turn the app's permission off.
- Android: Settings › Google › Ads — delete or reset your advertising ID.
- In the app: "Privacy Settings" in the menu (if available in your region).
- Ad preferences linked to your Google account: myadcenter.google.com
5. Support, Ratings and Crash Reports
- When you email us, we use your email address and the content of your message only to answer your request.
- The in-app rating prompt is shown by Apple or Google. Your rating and review are subject to the rules of the respective store; we can only see reviews that are publicly visible on the store.
- If you have enabled sharing diagnostics with app developers in your device settings, Apple and Google may provide us with anonymous crash reports and performance statistics. We use them only to find and fix bugs; these reports do not contain your identity.
6. Data Sharing and International Transfers
We do not sell or rent your personal data. Since we hold no personal data about you on our servers, there is nothing for us to share. Ad-related data is sent directly from your device to Google, as described in Section 4. Requests from competent authorities may be fulfilled where required by law.
Google's servers may be located outside Turkey and the European Economic Area (e.g. in the United States). Such transfers rely on safeguards provided by Google, such as standard contractual clauses, and, where required, on the explicit consent you give through the consent form.
7. Legal Bases
- Personalized ads and access to the advertising identifier: your consent (UMP consent form, iOS ATT permission)
- Non-personalized ads, ad measurement and fraud prevention: our legitimate interest in offering the Apps for free
- Answering support requests: fulfilling your request and our legitimate interest
- Compliance with legal obligations
8. Retention
- Data on your device: kept until you delete it or uninstall the app.
- Support correspondence: kept until your request is resolved, and afterwards only as long as needed for possible follow-up questions.
- AdMob data: kept according to Google's retention policy (policies.google.com/technologies/retention).
9. Your Rights (GDPR and KVKK)
Under the GDPR and Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to:
- Find out whether your data is processed and request information about it
- Learn the purpose of processing and the parties your data is transferred to
- Have incomplete or inaccurate data corrected
- Have your data deleted or destroyed
- Restrict processing and object to it
- Data portability
- Withdraw your consent at any time (via "Privacy Settings" in the app or your device settings)
- Claim compensation for damages caused by unlawful processing
- Lodge a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority or the data protection authority in your country
You can send your requests to the addresses below; we respond free of charge within 30 days. iOS: mehmetnasr@icloud.com · Android: akbashmehmetnasir@gmail.com
Data Deletion Request
Because we do not keep personal data about you on our servers, you can delete the data on your device yourself:
- You can delete your recordings inside the app. Uninstalling the app deletes all app data on the device, including recordings, imported files and settings.
- For advertising data, you can reset or delete your advertising ID and use Google's tools (myadcenter.google.com).
- To have your support correspondence deleted, or for any other request, email us with the subject "Data Deletion Request" and the app name: mehmetnasr@icloud.com for iOS, akbashmehmetnasir@gmail.com for Android. We will complete your request within 30 days.
10. US State Privacy Laws
Under the California CCPA/CPRA and similar US state laws, we do not sell your personal information for money. Personalized ads shown through AdMob may count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under these laws. You can opt out via "Privacy Settings" in the app (if available in your region) or your device's ad settings. You will not be treated differently for exercising these rights.
11. Children's Privacy
Our Apps are intended for a general audience and are not specifically designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or a higher age limit that applies in your country). If you believe your child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly. iOS: mehmetnasr@icloud.com · Android: akbashmehmetnasir@gmail.com
12. Security
Most of your data exists only on your device and is protected by your operating system's app sandboxing and encryption. The ads SDK communicates with Google over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). While no method is 100% secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
13. This Website (mnakbas.com)
- This website does not use cookies and does not perform analytics or ad tracking.
- The visit counter at the bottom of the page stores only the total number of visits and records nothing about visitors.
- Our hosting provider, Hostinger, keeps standard server logs such as IP address, browser information and time of visit for security and operation, under its own policy.
- The site's fonts and rendering components are loaded from Google servers (fonts.gstatic.com, www.gstatic.com), so your IP address is transmitted to Google.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our Apps or legal requirements change. The current version is always published on this page, and the "Last updated" date at the top is changed. We may also announce significant changes in the app's release notes.
